Accurate historical representation and staging built for real exhibition spaces
Museum curators, exhibition agencies, and local cultural officials prioritize three things when commissioning exhibition animation: accurate historical and artifact representation, clear storytelling that visitors can grasp even when stopping mid-loop while walking through a hall, and seamless delivery for non-standard screen ratios alongside public procurement documentation.
Unlike a cinema, exhibition visitors rarely watch from the very first frame seated. Putting raw timelines and text walls on screen loses passing visitors. During scenario and storyboarding, we restructure historical records around people and key events so each scene communicates clearly at a glance.
Custom aspect-ratio 3D layouts and early curatorial review
The biggest technical difference in exhibition animation is screen geometry. Drawing a film in standard 16:9 and cropping it later for an ultra-wide wall, curved screen, or kiosk breaks character staging and perspective. We apply the venue's exact resolution and aspect ratio from the storyboard reel and 3D layout stage.
Because historical costumes, architecture, and artifacts cannot be easily redrawn after animation begins, we schedule curatorial and advisory reviews at the concept art and cut-design stages before main animation starts. We also check whether the hall allows full audio playback or relies heavily on visual cues and subtitles in an open gallery, adjusting voice narration and sound mixing accordingly.
Options for exhibition budgets and public procurement support
From the main film of a permanent gallery to short explainers for each section, we propose an approach that fits the budget.
- Main gallery narrative animationFull custom production from concept art, period backgrounds, and hand-drawn or cut-out character animation to voice recording, original BGM, and sound mixing.
- Budget-conscious archival, infographic & full AI / hybrid optionsWhen multiple corner explainers must fit a fixed budget, we combine rigged historical illustrations or archival photos with motion graphics. For historical landscapes or future city visions that are impossible to film and costly in 3D CG, we also offer full AI production or 2D/archival + AI background hybrids.
- KONEPS public procurement readyRegistered on Korea's public procurement system (KONEPS), we prepare all required estimates, specification reviews, business certificates, and inspection deliverables for public institutions.
From permanent museum exhibitions to regional cultural festivals
We handled full production from concept art to sound mixing for the 'March 5 Movement' exhibition animation at the Gunsan Modern History Museum, and produced exhibition animations for the Daeseong-dong Tombs Museum in Gimhae (2021), the Korean Modern History Exhibition, Taebaeksan Sodo Culture Village, and the Gang Gam-chan Festival.
